El Flaco de Nerja
El Flaco de Nerja es guitarrista y compositor flamenco. Su primer contacto con la guitarra tuvo lugar a finales de los años ochenta, cuando descubrió la música del maestro Paco de Lucía.
A los 15 años comenzó a ofrecer sus primeros conciertos como guitarrista de acompañamiento y, poco después, presentó sus primeros conciertos en solitario.
En 1999 se estableció en el pueblo malagueño de Nerja, donde colaboró con diversos artistas flamencos, con quienes recorrió Europa y América Latina. Fue durante esta etapa cuando recibió el apodo de El Flaco de Nerja.
En los años 2001 y 2004 participó en el Concurso Nacional de Arte Flamenco de Córdoba, en la modalidad de guitarra de concierto, llegando a situarse entre los cinco finalistas.
Por recomendación del bailarín colombiano Darío Arboleda, El Flaco firmó contrato con el Teatro Flamenco Planète Andalucía de París, iniciando así una larga colaboración. Los seis años siguientes en París fueron especialmente importantes para su desarrollo artístico. Allí conoció al cantaor Alberto García y a guitarristas como Jean-Baptiste Marino y Fahem, con quienes actuó en Francia y Austria.
Aunque mantuvo su colaboración con el teatro de París, durante dos años se trasladó a Sevilla para inspirarse en la capital del flamenco. Fue durante esta etapa cuando comenzó su colaboración con la orquesta L’Arpeggiata, con la que participó en diferentes proyectos.
Posteriormente, su trayectoria lo llevó a Viena, capital de la música clásica. Durante nueve años fue coorganizador del Festival de Flamenco de Viena, donde desarrolló numerosos proyectos y colaboraciones con destacados artistas y formaciones internacionales.
Entre sus colaboraciones destacan el Janoska Ensemble, Timna Brauer & Elías Meiri y sus actuaciones junto al Ballet Flamenco de España en el marco de los Margareten Festspiele, entre otros proyectos.

El Flaco de Nerja ist Flamenco-Gitarrist und Komponist. Sein erster Kontakt mit der Gitarre fand Ende der 1980er-Jahre statt, als er die Musik des großen Meisters Paco de Lucía entdeckte.
Im Alter von 15 Jahren begann er, seine ersten Konzerte als Begleitgitarrist zu geben. Wenig später präsentierte er auch seine ersten Solokonzerte.
1999 ließ er sich im andalusischen Küstenort Nerja in der Provinz Málaga nieder. Dort arbeitete er mit verschiedenen Flamenco-Künstlern zusammen und tourte mit ihnen durch Europa und Lateinamerika. In dieser Zeit erhielt er seinen Künstlernamen El Flaco de Nerja.
In den Jahren 2001 und 2004 nahm er am Nationalen Wettbewerb für Flamenco-Kunst in Córdobain der Kategorie Konzertgitarre teil und erreichte jeweils das Finale der fünf besten Teilnehmer.
Auf Empfehlung des kolumbianischen Tänzers Darío Arboleda unterzeichnete El Flaco einen Vertrag mit dem Teatro Flamenco Planète Andalucía in Paris und begann damit eine langjährige Zusammenarbeit. Die sechs Jahre in Paris waren für seine künstlerische Entwicklung von großer Bedeutung. Dort lernte er den Sänger Alberto García sowie Gitarristen wie Jean-Baptiste Marino und Fahem kennen, mit denen er in Frankreich und Österreich auftrat.
Obwohl seine Zusammenarbeit mit dem Pariser Theater fortbestand, zog er für zwei Jahre nach Sevilla, um sich von der Hauptstadt des Flamenco inspirieren zu lassen. Während dieser Zeit begann seine Zusammenarbeit mit dem Ensemble L’Arpeggiata, mit dem er an verschiedenen Projekten mitwirkte.
In den folgenden Jahren führte ihn sein künstlerischer Weg nach Wien, die Hauptstadt der klassischen Musik. Neun Jahre lang war er Mitorganisator des Flamenco-Festivals Wien und entwickelte dort zahlreiche internationale Projekte und Kooperationen.
Zu seinen künstlerischen Partnern zählen unter anderem das Janoska Ensemble, Timna Brauer & Elías Meiri sowie Auftritte gemeinsam mit dem Ballet Flamenco de España im Rahmen der Margareten Festspiele und zahlreiche weitere Projekte.

El Flaco de Nerja is a flamenco guitarist and composer. His first contact with the guitar came in the late 1980s, when he discovered the music of the great master Paco de Lucía.
At the age of 15, he began performing his first concerts as an accompanying guitarist. Shortly afterwards, he also presented his first solo concerts.
In 1999, he settled in the Andalusian coastal town of Nerja, in the province of Málaga. There, he collaborated with various flamenco artists and toured with them throughout Europe and Latin America. It was during this period that he received his stage name El Flaco de Nerja.
In 2001 and 2004, he participated in the National Flamenco Art Competition in Córdoba in the concert guitar category, reaching the final round of the five best participants on both occasions.
On the recommendation of Colombian dancer Darío Arboleda, El Flaco signed a contract with the Teatro Flamenco Planète Andalucía in Paris, beginning a long-standing collaboration. His six years in Paris were particularly important for his artistic development. In the following years, his artistic journey took him to Vienna, the capital of classical music. For nine years, he was co-organiser of the Vienna Flamenco Festival, where he developed numerous international projects and collaborations.
His artistic partners have included the Janoska Ensemble, Timna Brauer & Elías Meiri, as well as performances with the Ballet Flamenco de España as part of the Margareten Festspiele, among many other projects.
